I own a remapped fabia vrs, drove my dads new mk2 fabia 1.2 tsi today and I was very impressed. Smooth ride, good box, nice and torquey, excellent car!

I was well impressed with the 1.2TSI in a courtesy Roomster I had. Easily on a par with old technology 1.6 petrols. Fuel economy was the only slight drawback.

Mpg drawback?

Compared to the old 1.6? Shoul be miles better, my 1.2tsi gets 50-60 on a run and 30-40 roun town.

What's not good about that?

i think I was only seeing mid-high 30s on my brief drive, but it was a fairly new engine. My old 1.6 Focus used to deliver 45mpg easily. But if 50+mpg is doable on long runs that's impressive.

the 1.2 tsi is a cracking engine

Mine has only done 900 miles so not run in yet. Dead impressed.

Well I'm loving mine on all counts. Very impressed.

59mpg (calculated at the pump) out of mine on a long A-road run to south Wales and back last weekend. It's a cracking little engine.

Even my DSG gives me 50 on long runs with motorway speeds.... round town 30-40 in the warm weather. I agree the power is sweet and couple that to sound road feeling you have a winner....

Fabia owners are very often satisfied people, and I am one of them too . We got ours in january this year, and it is a joy to drive.
