Remap advice

Featured Replies

Hi Guys, New to this site

Would like a sensible remap for my skoda fabia 1.9 vrs . Not too sure with what to go for? I am from westmidlands and was thinking either midland vw cannock or mrc tuning banbury.

Midland vw have their own maps aswell as revo. Have heard pros and cons about revo. Would like something that offers a smooth delivery on higher revs so that i dont have to change gears to often not that im a racer . but i do believe the fabias are more capable than the normal power. Clutch hasnt been changed on my car and the current mileage is 95k , is that something to look at ? also when my next service is due i am looking at changing the discs and pads to either brembo ? or mintex ? so will hopefully get a remap that time too... please help/advise?

I took mine to Shark, figures are next to my 'car details', turbo got changed for a Garrett unit from a PD115 :)

There are lots of topics on Briskoda surrounding remaps. Pros and cons for all I'm sure. Do your research and also speak to the garages in question. Ask them about what happens if you don't like the map they put on etc. There is always a danger that you could damage your car with a remap but the risk is low from experience. If you asked every remapped car owner if they had had any problems most would probably say no.

Like I said, lots of threads and lots of advice on here, so do your research.

Any reason why Rtech doesn't get many mentions on here?

Rtech for me anyway just can't fault the guys when they did the map on my PD130 Bora

R-tech custom map!

Most generic maps are lethal!

Companys just cant understand we actually dont want our clutches to go boom! Just a bit extra poke!

I know of a company in Shrewsbury if you are interested, just pm me.

I travel from birmingham to get all my work / services done and cant complain :)
