I have to get them sandblasted and prep them myself for the coating...

Im in no rush but any ideas where i would start with sandblasting? looked for local companies on the net but cant find anything

Could start by telling us where "local" is...

Sorry Bedfordshire :giggle:

So a company offers to powder coat stuff but doesn't offer the prep? Seems strange

They will more than happily prep and mask them but it will drive the cost up. Im looking to get them blasted cheapish somewhere and mask them up myself.

That sounds quite expensive to me, I only paid £100 for a set of 4 wheels and that's blasted and painted.

Hense the thread, i have no idea about this sort of stuff,

Trying to get an idea on prices i should expect etc

You will probably need new seals too? I'm sure powdercoating involves them being baked to cure the powdercoat which will melt the seals in the caliper.

I have new seals and pistons waiting to go on

I'd like my calipers powder coated that's for sure, finish is alot more durable!

Well i primered and rattle caned mine and they are still just the same as when i did it :)

I got a set of calipers sand blasted, 312mm front brakes that are currently on my car.

The person that did them masked them off poorly, I ended up having to replace all seals, remove the pistons and internals to clean the insides out as they had pretty much just filled up with sand. was a nightmare to change everything and bleeding them after since the bleed nipple was compacted up with sand both sides.

They did look super shiny though.
