I topped the oil up on my 07 octavia vrs petrol and forgot to put the oil filler cap back on (not a clue why) I started it momentarily and it was almost running on 3 cylinders and lumpy. I turned it back off immediately and that's when I noticed I had left the cap off.

Is the lumpy running normal or is a breather blocked or something

It's a pressurised system so it's expecting the cap on to run effectively. I wouldn't worry about it, just try it again with the cap on.

Returned to car with fresh oil cap and laptop with VagCom cleared fault codes all ok since
