As title says wondering if any forum members can recommend a garage in the Inverness area. Have used both Arnold Clarke and Kennys Auto repairs on Seafield Road. AC for a exhaust pressure sensor replacement under dealer warranty and Kennys for MOT and service. Car is an 09 plate TDI vRS 35000 miles.

Car started leaking engine coolant yesterday 60 miles into 250 mile round trip had to put 1.5 litres into by the time I got home and header tank is nearly empty again. No noticeable effect on performance other that red coolant warning light flashing every time coolant levels drop below minimum.

Was quite happy with Kennys Autos but thought the bill for service and mot was perhaps a little expensive.

I wouldn't bother returning to Arnold Clark for any work. Tried to charge me over £400 for a Cam belt change, then when I asked how much the parts were they said they were over £150, 2 minutes later I called the parts dep and found out myself the cam belt kit was only around £70. Also dug them on the fixed servicing costs and eventually got the work done for £299 but that involved a phone call to SUK
