Can any body give me some help my turbo whistels or a high pitch noise smokes and no power any idears please thanks ps it is a fabia vrs 05 plate ,

Sounds the same symptoms mine had when it exploded on track at Bedford.

Would move but had no boost and made a horrible high pitched whistle under power.

Could be that your impeller has destroyed itself (hence the lack of boost) but the shaft hasn't seized completly so air can still get through the engine and out the exhaust (which is why it still starts & moves)

Thanks for that what sort of money is a new turbo ?that sounds the same noise as mine .

There are used ones on ebay for around half that.

Or there are companies who can refurb your turbo for around £400 if you can leave afford for your car to be off the road for a few days...

was thinking of sending it down to JKM and get them to sort it i have had work done by them in the past and was very happy with there work and the price .
