2002 MK1 Octavia VRS 1.8T - WHITE WRC SPEC

It is with huge regret that i must sell my Skoda Octavia VRS in White WRC spec due to a new company car. I have loved this car and has been the best car i have ever owned, it will be very hard to see it go, but i just don't have the room for it. :(

This car is an odd ball, Its a factory MK1 White VRS with White Alloys and a White spare in the boot which has only ever been used once and still has the factory sticker on it. Its not got the WRC build numbers but that is the only thing missing. Rumor has it, it was destined for the police, but some of the dealers managed to get hold of them, my car spent 4-5 years at a Skoda dealer in Colchester as a show car, then sold to someone in Clacton on sea, i then bought the car from Hayze Skoda in Lt Clacton.

TAXED till END of september - TAX NOW EXTENDED FOR 6 MONTHS (Next Due March 2014)

Mileage - 70k

Spec is as normal VRS spec.

Other info: -

2 Keys, including history and owners book

ESP - Electronic Stability Programme - applies breaks to which ever wheel needs it (not the ASR system - Auto skid reducion)

Cruise control

Rear Parking sensors

Heated Front seat

Factory Fitted HID projector headlights with automatic height adjustment.

Factory fitted White Alloys with full sized white spare

Dark grey head lining and carpets.

Exhaust was replaced a few months ago as the standard system fell apart, New Blue Flame cat back system with twin 3" round tips was fitted as it is the quietest stainless system i could find and much cheaper than the Skoda system.

Jabba Sport custom rolling road remap 180bhp to 227bhp (have power graph to go with it).

Recently had full service in January this year, including Cam Belt, filters, spark plugs, long life oil, 2 new rear tyers (Hankook 225/45/17`s on front and rear) these are wider than the205/55/17 fitted as standard as they are cheaper, look and hold to road far better as well.

New front Drivers side suspension spring and bearing as the spring snapped in February. - approx £1600 spent in the last year

Break pads - rears replaced in the last 18 months, front pads replaced in the last year.

New Hazard warning relay fitted 2 months ago.

Just waiting for a new breather hose to arrive as the crankcase breather hose has split (probably due to the service), new one in the post, new wiper blades will be fitted as well as they are looking ready for a change - NOW DONE!

Some things i would like any buyer to be aware of - since the remap 4 years ago, it tends to drop into limp mode when first started and after a mile or so - this can be reset but switching off the ignition and back on again. This was investigated by my local garage and they replaced everything under warranty but still its doing it, so this can only be down to the Re-map and to be honest, the extra power you get from the remap really out ways the occasional reset with the key. Once its done it, it wont do it again until the engine is switched off. - Jabba sport software update done 01/08/13 to rectify this issue. Will test Friday 02/08/13 evening to make sure now all ok.

Tested today from cold - 03/08/13 since software update, and all is fine - Limp mode is no more - and we still have 227bhp!  B)

Stone chip in the windscreen - has been resin filled and was done before i bought the car 4 years ago.

Rear wheels are un-damaged, front wheels have light kerb damage - easily refurbished.

Drivers seat has some ware on it, but being 11 years old now i'm not really surprised to be honest.

Photos to follow after its had a bath.

I would love this to go to some one who will love it and look after it, i have tried to be as honest as i can, if i cant this of anything else i will put on here.

Price - £3295 OVNO Price dropped to £2900.00

Update 22/09/2013 - Tax extended for 6 month and will also drop to (£2800.00) - (effective £243 off asking price with 6 month road tax included)

Morning Woody!

MOT is till Jan/Feb next year, The air bag fault was sorted due to a faulty ignighter so i replaced the air bag with a known good unit. Juddering fault is thought to all be related to the MAP, and should be sorted when the map is taken off next week (only does this once in a blue moon and suspect its due to the over boost of the MAP). The Hot problem also we think is due to the MAP as again this only started when the MAP was put on.

I don't have all the info with me as i'm at work but the front disks are ok, pads were all replaced in the last 18 months (fronts in the last year) (rears in the last 18 months) Front bumper is quite good for its age, it does have a few stone chips on but i have a touch up pen to sort those, stone chip in the passenger door (was their when i bought the car and have no idea how it got their) has been touched up. (Front wheels have some kerb damage - due to high man holes on our new estate and deep snow covering them up!) Rears are clean with no kerb damage.

Breather hose i fitted this week actually and is now sorted, new front wiper blades have been done as well. (Hankooks directionals all round) Rear tyres replaced in Feb this year and are as new (spare is mint with only a few miles on it), fronts are about Half warn i think and were fitted about 18 months ago.

Their has been no accident damage at all, car has never been write off, new number plates fitted Feb this year as the old ones were looking Tatty (i have the old ones with it)

Have you got an email address you can PM, I can try and sort some extra photos if you like and i can scan and send you the last MOT check sheet if that help?

Service History i have all the stamps in the service book from Hayze Skoda in Lt Clatcon (sadly not skoda any more - just a service specialist) unfortunately the receipts for the sevices were lost during our house move, but i do have all the old MOT`s and the last big service it had back in Jan.

When i get home, ill dig through all the info and ill let you know if i find anything else.

Also trying to fix a date with the garage to get the original MAP put back.

If i find or think of any thing else i will let you know. Will have a good look through the buyer guide when i get home tonight as well and let you know of any thing it high lights.

 So... Today, 230 miles, £50 petrol, and a software up date later, i think we are all good and the problem according to Jabba Sport should be all sorted, drove home absolutely fine, didn't miss a beat, its had a really good run! Thank god for air con though is all i can say.

Jabba sport refer to this problem as the "cold start issue" so if any one else ever has this problem give them a call!! B)  I will gave it a run tomorrow night after work and see if its OK from cold.

Thanks for the Bump Woody - Still up for grabs though, i have been using it once or twice a week to keep it running as i don't like to leave it standing for too long. I love my new Audi, but my god i went out in the VRS Monday and came home with the biggest smile on my face, i just wish i could keep it, but the boss in doors says it needs to go and i don`t have the room.

Still for sale, this is very clean example, and a brilliant runner now that Jabba Sport have done their thing, I have been trying to drive it once a week and it has been running flawlessly! I forgot just how quick it was!

Contact me if interested, or want any more information.

Would you PX? i need this one in my life !

Sorry, I can't PX, I have a new company car and need the space, I would keep it if I had the room. Every one should have a white VRS at some point in their life though, it's just that little bit more special. :-)
