What does it do though, do i need it

I normally drill the hole out abit and glue a small piece of brake pipe in its place.

What do I do with the two pipes? Just block them? (Would the EML be on though?)

Don't know why, just thought oh it will be metal same as first one... How wrong was I... Slight panic but fixed it with silicone and super glue
