Collecting 2005 Fabia VRS

Featured Replies

On Saturday I collect a 2005 Fabia VRS with 43k on the clock. I bought the car from Progress Skoda in Northampton.

The car is a one owner with a comprehensive service history and looks pretty darn good. I did the visuals when I checked the car out last week.

My drive home is about 80 miles, about 50 of which will be motorway.

Is there anything specific I should be checking out on the drive back  ? Any tips, any thoughts?

Thanks a lot.

General wear and tear items.. Clutch slip, flywheel rattle, knocking bushes etc.

Stay away from this forum!! You will end up spending all your money!!! :D

Yeah. Give it death on the way back. Flat out. Ooooosh..

If your sticking with Phil's idea, dont forget to keep an eye out for speed cameras on your way back. It would definitely put a downer on the buzz of a "new" car

And watch your speed. I found the fabia to be deceptively fast and the speed catches you out if youre not paying attention
