Scout body moulding advice

Featured Replies

My new (ish) FL scout has a loose body plastic moulding. The rear wheel arch moulding constantly pops off down by the sill in front of the wheel. How do these attach? Are they just clipped, whats likely to be broken? Should I ask the dealer to order a new body moulding?

Found out they are bonded on and its a body shop job to fix them.

The front n/s moulding on my 2008 Scout is coming away from the wing right at its highest point.

It's only going to get worse as rain water and the jet wash gets behind the adhesive.

Yeh, work's Scout has similar issue with rear off-side starting to come away. At some stage I dare say it'll need gluing back on.

Sarge.

I've just been back to Skoda with the same issue on my 2013 Scout. The service guy was wondering if it had been jacked up for the PDI in not quite the right place. The whole moulding will have to come off and be glued back on....

At least it's a warranty job!

Mine all done under warranty, and seems a good job. Took ages to book in as Skoda uk had to approve the work.
