I know the 75, 95 and 105 diesels are all pretty much the same and map to around 130bhp.

Even though the brochure states the 105 is 15kg heavier than the others...

But what is the differences between the petrol 1.2tsi cars?

The brochure quotes a weight difference of 14kg, do both the 86 and 105 map to the same level of tune?

We have gone for the Scout Tsi, which only comes in the 86 version.

The diesel is around £1,350 more after the VAT is taken off, which it'll take us 6 to 8 years to get back with low milage.

Plus the Tsi is around 100kg lighter, most of which is in the front end so it should be better balanced.

But it'd be nice to get decent power out of it, sadly no Scout 105tsi version on sale.

Didn't think it'd be long before you got one! The 86 an 105 engines are only different by maps as far as I know.

They map the same amount like the diesels.

Edit - I would have got a fabia scout if it had a more powerful engine and a six speed box.

So both petrols map to about 130bhp ?

Should do - Shark may be the people to ask but afaik - 130bhp from the petrol and diesels across the board.

I'm sure someone said on the Rapid forum that the 85/105 both map to 130 as well, not 100% sure which thread it was in though :(

I think it is commonly known that the 1.2 TSI 105HP unofficially actually has about 125HP from standard, so no big increase. However, there is a big increase in torque, and the power is also more evenly distributed - as far as I know.

Useful looking graphs on Superchips website for 105 BHP TSI (Golf MK 6.)

Up from 111 BHP standard to 129 BHP , both at around 5200 rpm.

Very flat torque curves with useful gains throughout rev range.

It's info on the 86 I'm struggling with.

I believe it maps to the same as the 105, but can't find any info...

I have the fabia Tsi 86 and have also been looking to get it mapped for a while now :l
