Featured Replies

save another grand and go straight for hybrid setup

Sort the suspension and brakes out before you go for more power, no point in having the power if you crash trying to use it lol

Never said it had to be different from Skoda lol, even upgrading to a VRS nets an extra 30bhp lol

As its a 4x4 it will have a horrible plastic steering wheel, get a stitch on leather cover, they make for a much more comfortable drive. Or if you can get the S3 TT type wheel and airbag

Keep £1000 to one side for WHEN the gearbox blows, then you can fit a 6spd S3 one :D

lcr brembo's (spacers/alloys depending on alloys fitted)

fmic

downpipe and sports/decat

stage 2.

LCR Brembos are big, heavy and spacers are needed which messes up the ride/handling, also need 18's?.  the Porka monoblock ones are smaller/lighter/stronger

4x4 doesn't need a sports cat as it has the same twin cat arrangement as the  S3 and TT225 and can easily flow 350+

Downpipe however does need looking at :D  Custom one from someone like Charlie at Prospeed in Cardiff (other custom fitters are available)

lcr brembos arent that heavy...lighter than the stock setup!

Brakes wise all you need are lcr brembos and bells n rotors really for reliability if you use them a lot and hard as one piece discs dont like getting too hot.

The brake power in them with std pagid pads is awesome.

Min 17" rims needed and spacers depending on rim offset.(nnot reccomended by me as i hated car with spacers. Felt **** at any sort of out of town speed ie over 40)

S3 rims will fit perfect no spacers and 17"

Does any 1 know of any one selling a tuned up 4x4 ? Pref an estate

Any idea how much a Prospeed custom downpipe is?  I'd like one for my 4x4 next time I'm near Cardiff.

Give Charlie a ring. I can't recall what price I got as I had a few for the DP, cat, fake cat(its on LPG), and full system but funds stopped me from getting it done. DP only that mates up to the standard cat shouldn't be hugely expensive though. Last time I saw he he had a Leon 1.8t and that had full system. If you went for full system he can tune the sound to your preference as well.

I had a set of TT rims where the offset put them further out like a spacer and it was horrible.

Meant the whole lot with the bigger disks, mono block ones with separate bells and rotors are a good bit lighter.

Would love to find some that fit under the pepper pots :D
