My Fabia Transmission failed in less than 24 Hours

Featured Replies

Treated myself to a new Fabia on Saturday, seemed a cracking car initially & was just about keeping with the Octy, even with the Octy having four wheel drive

Then after less than 24 hours of ownership the horrendous experience of an engine reving its heart out but no drive, yep the drive pinion off the Engine had failed.

I will take it to the nearest Scalextric dealer & hopefully it can be fixed under warranty, then its back to trying to beat the 4x4

No no...it WILL be fixed under warranty.

Is it brand new? If so why were you revving it like crazy?

In any case, it's not supposed to fail like that, even if brand new.

Avoid places like Toys R Us Stuart, they are the Kwik fit of the Scalextric world :D

I thought the Fabia was 4x4? mine is!

What do you expect if you don't follow the running in procedure :P:rofl:

Its the only Fabia I've ever driven that handles like its on rails! :P

Was it fitted with the Sport digital upgrade chip? If so there might be warranty implications... :(

Reason it broke, I let my son run it in & aparently he drives the way dad does !!

Good news is they are delivering a new car & I then return the old one
