Hi Folks,

 

I posted on here a couple of weeks back about my speedo being out i.e. the needle sits too low when at idle so when speedo needle shows 0mph im actually doing 10mph.

 

Think I need someone (on here hopefully) that has VAG Com in able to re set the speedo needle position.

 

Can any1 help or point me in the right direction at all??

As no-one else replied to your original post I will put in my thoughts. From what I have read elsewhere, when a new dashboard assembly is fitted, the speedo is forced into a self calibration mode of the start point by using its motor to run the the needle between the extreme limits.

 

Perhaps this is what is done by VAG Com but perhaps also, like any computer, you could force recalibration by disconnecting the battery or the wiring to the dashboard. Just a thought.
