Having found a broken front spring on Saturday I'm trying to find part numbers for the replacement bits so my tame mechanic can potentially order them at staff rates through VW

 

anybody happen to know part numbers for 2004 Fabia VRS front spring and top mount/bearing assembly?

 

I've trawled through the online ETKA catalogues but there are about a dozen differnet possible springs!

I even called my local dealer but the "normal parts guy" is on holiday this week and i get the impression the temp will struggle!

 

I've tried eurocar parts but theirs are around £45 each + a top mount at another £15 and i'm struggling to find a discount code that actually works.

I think that ECP have wised up and now only issue and apply codes directly to their price list as and when appropriate. To the OP, if going down the ECP route you should wait until the weekend, if you can, as up to 50% discounts are around, I got quite a lot off steering rods complete with TRE on Saturday - I knew that I had this job to do and jumped when I saw these prices. Now, if I were you, I would buy from GSF as they sell Lesjofor springs, which are made by proper spring makers in Sweden.

 

Get the top mounts and top bearings from VAG though - and maybe consider buying a tool to "open" the hub joint up a bit.

I think the springs won't have a part number exactly... They are identified by the colourd dots on the spring.

They will have a part number in VAG parts lists but in the comments column there will be colours quoted - to clarify that you are getting the right ones.

 

Lesjofors listing in GSF will also tie in with the colour marks on the original springs.

Codes are suspended due to their 'sale'
