Hi, having some issues with my rear speakers on 2006 vrs, they do work but lack bass and loudness, only noticed a couple of days ago, I have checked all the wiring and all seems ok.

Could it be possible I've blown both rears? If so can anyone recommend a good set?

Rear speakers are only 5.25" vs 6.5 of front doors. Typically worked harder than the fronts so could have blown but wouldnt output as much sound as the fronts anyway.

Much hassle / benefit to change?

Mmm not quite sure what's gone on there then! Might try another standard speaker that's lying around to see if its any better, if it is do you recommend any speakers?

No they're not difficult to replace, you'll have to drill out the old one, and you can either use a mk5 golf adapter ring or make one from mdf
