My key fob gave up working last night so im now using the spare one. Is it easy to change the battery in these things or will i need to take it to the dealer for reprogramming etc?

And how do you get into the key fob, i cant see any screws or anything? :confused:

Is it one of the flip keys or the normal sort?

On the flip ones you need to flip the key open then on the side there is a small tab that you can push in.

The battery is a CR2032 IIRC

Cheers for that. I changed the battery and it still doesnt work. garage couldnt re sync it either so they have ordered me a replacement

I assume that these aren't rechargeble type as in some cars i.e. when u have in ignition?

Nope - I believe there are just the standard CR batteries. Rechargeable is an excellent idea though - which cars have these?

I lost my skoda fabia remote couple of days ago which was working ok. When i tried the 2nd remote, its not working remotely. I have to use the key to lock unlock the car. Although i've changed the battery, still not working.
