Battery died now doors dead locked

Featured Replies

Hello this morning battery was dead to the point where the remote wouldn't even unlock the car , my fault but anyway I unlocked car with key and boosted car... Now the back door drivers side won't open what so ever ? Any ideas thanks in advance shane

Sounds as if the lock is stuck, try locking and unlocking the car whilst tapping hard under the door handle on the stuck door, should eventually unlock, but you will probably need a new motor, take the door card off if/when you get the door to open otherwise if it is permanently stuck shut you will have to damage it to get it off with the door stuck  ;)

Disconnect the battery for 30 mins, then reconnect and retry. The locks on this platform of car are known to throw a hissy fit if the car battery is below par / car jump started / battery clumsily reconnected.

Worth a try?

Yes i tryed the disconecting the battery for 20mins and hey presto worked perfect :) thanks everyone

Was going to suggest this! We owned a Alfa GTV spyder once and the terminal was dodgy. Was going along and the terminal jumped off and reconnected. It turned the car off an immobilised it. I was sat in the forest waiting for 40 mins whilst it discharged and I could mobilise the car and go on again!
