There's a small sticker on the rear "Controlo objectivo 5953"

Thanks in advance

If it is the unit which belongs to the car, then the ECU should auto decode it for you.

The car is just a shell waiting for the crusher

Skoda only.

Thought so, bin fodder :giggle:

Yeah they won't give you a code without the car.

I got a radio code the other week off the net, cost about 8 quid but better than the 30 quid Renault wanted. Just needed make, model and serial no of the unit, worth a try.

Have you tried 5953?

There are companies on eBay who provide them I got one for a Clio for 99p plus £3 postage even though it was done via email?!? Still way cheaper than Skoda

I've just tried an eBay search and the only one I could find was £20-30 don't know how that compares to a dealership???

It would seem some makes are cheaper than others

Had the same problem, skoda dealer im afraid! charged £25 but did coilpacks on a recall at the same time and changed a brake light bulb for me free of charge so not so bad after all

I used Radio-Codes.co.uk run by SWS solutions.

Put in my Beat 175, cheaper than an unlock. Look OEM-ish.

£30 New: http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B004230FME

I found a used one on ebay for £14 delivered. :)
