Frotcaliper bolts

Featured Replies

Anyone know the front caliper bolt size not the 7mm slide pins but the bolts that fasten the carrier to the hub. Head size is 18mm, but what is the thread and length.

Alternatively anyone know of a supplier of said bolts apart from the dealer, which I worry will be over priced.

Car is a 1999 1.8T SLX not a vrs

Thanks

Id use the dealer supplied ones, they were made for the job.

18mm will be m12 x 1.5

Stupid german nonesense sizes!

They're cheap from the dealer.

Awful design though, who said VAG cars are well engineered?

They are a fairly standard ATE caliper design used on 100s of different cars over the last 30 years without much trouble. Much better than what was available beforehand

dealer bolts are usually cheap as chips
