Siren noise

Featured Replies

Well after a hard shift at knockhill today I think my turbo has finally have up ! It was about 26 degrees mind and she went into limp mode and obviously lost all power, came off the track let it cool down and took it for a slow drive round car park everything was back to normal apart from the dreaded siren sound ... How long will it last now? And where is the cheapest place to get a PD150 turbo from? Cheers guys.

personally i wouldnt be driving it if its the turbo .... if it totally goes when your out your stranded .... and you dont know how many metal filings its spitting out and going in to your engine

I've just drove it 220 miles home from Scotland 70-80ish and it hasn't skipped a beat, would have thought if it was gunna go it would have then. Won't be doing that now obviously it'll be sat until I sort it out

have a good look round could just be a bad boost leak ..... some on e said on another thread you can get a siren noise from a boost leak near to the turbo
