Another simple one. How do I reset the service indicators please? I've got the service and Inspect indicators up, so when I service it later this week I need to know how to reset them. Fabia 1.4 8V 2001

 

Im going to be servicing my Fabia this weekend. 

 

In order to reset the service indicator, you will need VAG-COM / VCDS with a windows based computer.

Assuming you are asking as it's popping up on your dash when you turnthe car on you can reset it yourself without VAGCOM

 

The trip reset button in the clocks. Hold it down, turn ignition on, this then shows up INSP or OIL, then either turn (brefily) it left or right to toggle between the two..........to reset either the service INSP or the OIL.....with either OIL or INSP showing, press and hold down for about 8 secs until the display shows ----, then to reset the other service breifly toggle then press and hold down until it goes ---- then turn off ignition as it only resets properly when the ignition is then turned off then the next time it is turned on all is reset and ok!!!....

 

It says all that in a briefer way in your manual

Thanks. All I could find in the manual was to go to a Skoda dealer to have it reset which sounded expensive.
