I'm sure I've seen on here instructions for removing the door cards on the Yeti, I've searched but can't now find it.

Does anyone one have any info or pics/diagrams on how to remove the door card?

Tim the Plumber has just done this see his posts regarding Heko Wind Deflectors not far down this listing. He will probably be able to advise you fully

In my case I removed the front nearside door card;

 

 

Removing the speaker grill was tricky, as its an odd shape and held in place by a number of integrated 'clips'

 

 

Disconnect the window switch connector and remove Torx screw (apologies forgot to record size)

 

 

 

Remove the grab handle top cover with the aid of a 5mm wide flat screwdriver; start at the bottom push in screwdriver and prize off with your hand. With the top push in screwdriver and pull cover towards you. Finally remove the two Torx screws (apologies again forgot to record size).

 

 

Remove two Torx screws at the bottom of the door card (same size as the one in the speaker panel). Grasp panel around the bottom edges and pull away from door to release poppers holding the card to the door (six in total, three down each end of the panel and one very tiny one at the top near the mirror mounting). Carefully move door card upwards to release the top which hooks over a rail running along the bottom of the window frame. once released keep card close to the door as there's more connections as follows;

 

 

Disconnect the speaker plug hidden in a foam 'sleeve'

 

 

Disconnect the door handle cable by firstly un-clipping the sleeve from the door card.

 

 

Trickiest electrical plug is the open door light at the bottom. Found you can carefully rotate the door card upside down and rest the top edge on an old blanket for protection. The clip is released by carefully prising the two catches on the plug away from the light unit with a small screwdriver.

 

 

Door card is then removed

The centre speaker of the sound systems has become detached and is knocking against the door card. Thanks for the info Plumber.

for reference for the drivers door there are two 30mm torx screws in the door handle, two 15mm torx at the bottom of the door and one 15mm torx behind the top speaker cover. Hope that helps

Thank you to all who have added to this topic. I didn't ask the question but I have just finished changing to door card on my 2012 Yeti and I could not have done it myself without the information on here. Not sure if it has been mentioned on here, and I apologise if repeating this. Only a small point, but I found the easiest way to feed the new loom through was to tape a length of rope to the end of out-going cable, then re-tape it to the new loom.  The first connectors came through easily. Once again, thank you.

 

I just wanted to praise this guide! Not only did I have to take the card off I had to do with the door locked. The loom is the issue, but somehow the lock engaged meaning I could not open the door from the inside or outside. No power to the lock actuator I assume. Anyway. I managed this using this guide with the door shut. It was an almighty task and had to comfort myself to get the bottom left screw. And I think some clips pinged off. But it is possible. Now I just need an electrician to manually manipulate the door lock, open the door and repair/replace the loom.

I recently had an intermittent fault with front passenger door staying locked.

The door hardly gets used so I didn't expect the loom to be damaged but it turned out to be the door lock so needed to replace it.

Took the lock out, had to remove the speaker to gain access and replace the lock.

Got a lock from a breaker as they cannot be repaired.

Had some joy today, had an auto electrician come round, opened the lock and repaired the loom, everything is working again. Relieved is an understatement!
