Rear passengers AC vents

Featured Replies

when i was looking at various cars before i buy Rapid, i was dissapointed by the fact that most cars didn't offer rear passengers  AC air vents.

today i accidently looked under the driver's seat from behind and i saw a vent under each front seat, which could only be AC vents for rear passengers.

Rapid is the first saloon car i ever had, so i was pleased about this feature!

anyone else has noticed these?

Erm, pretty sure my old Fabia had vents under the front seats ... can't remember if my Fiesta had them or not... I've never actually put any thought in to whether the vents are missing, I always assumed it's a standard feature on more modern cars :)

wow really? I never noticed it. Well, it's because I never sat on the rear seats:) I'll check it out!

My Fabia has under seat floor vents and so did my A5 Octavia, but I dont think they are on the most basic models.

Nearly every car I've had came with these, including the mk1 Fabia from 10 years ago. :)

Just checked. Yes, the vents are there indeed!:)

They arent controllable though are they, in terms of flow? The Octavia was the first car I had with these in the rear of the front arm rest box - the kids love them on long/warm journeys. Every car Ive ever had has had 'dumb' open vents under the driver seat feeding air to the rear of the cabin. :)

I've just checked is they were there. I didn't test the air flow:( I think they would be more useful if they were placed on the armrest's back, as you mentioned. Oh well, but better be under the seat rather than don't have anything at all to the rear passengers!
