Now I have a skoda how many mpg will it do on average I know its driving style etc but a ball park figure please

Between 10 and 70mpg depending on what car you have, how you drive it, how you look after it......

1.2 engine 55 reg having services done when its ready only done 40, 700 miles got some service history

Moved to Fabia 1

Combined figure for this engine is 47mpg.

 

What you actually achieve is down to how you drive it and where (mainly town or mainly open roads?) you drive it. 

If you get a real, long-term, calculated at the pump, average figure north of 40mpg, you should be pretty happy.  Not heard of anyone claiming to really get the 'book' mpg average on the 1.2 engines. 

 

Over the last 15000 miles and 17 months since we got ours it has averaged 40.5mpg.  It's the 12-valve version, 6-valve may be slightly better around town, but slightly worse on a run; dunno.
