Aircondioner valves replacement recall campaign

Featured Replies

My yeti aircon used to trip during low rpm and this has been a huge problem driving in the Delhi heat n traffic snarls... I brought it up at the routine service upon completion of 30k on my 2 year old car.

To my surprise I was informed that there was a campaign on to replace the valves on the compressor and the complete assembly for cars reported with such an issue.... ! Off course the procedure is being paid for by the company... Wonder if anyone else has had a similar experience... How has it turned out for them thereafter..... It's always suspect once the original fittings have to be reassembled ... The procedure I understand is quite exhaustive as the cooling coil etc are not easy to access....

Which country is this recall applicable too? Never had a problem with it myself but intrigued if its an official recall! :)

I think the clue is in the reference to Delhi traffic

Regards all

Im also from delhi, skoda yeti 2013, warranty expired in 2015. AC didnt cool at all during summers.

first the service representative told me the compressor is fake(which is impossible unless skoda ****ed up the car themselves) and is not a genuine part, then offered free repair or 65,000rs (1k dollars) for replacement. The car was sent for free repair and he ended up replacing the compressor, dryer, o rings, some pipes and values all for free.
