Hi guy's,

 

Looking for some advice, for a few months now my car (Skoda Fabia 1.4 TDI) has been losing power but it's only an intermittent problem.

The symptoms that I noticed when I loose power:
No power for overtaking
Slow acceleration up to 70 mph

This only happens when I'm on the motorway but I do a lot of motorway driving. Doesn't matter if i have only covered over 5 miles or 30 miles it's losing power and it's an intermittent fault which is annoying!

 

Today I put the Skoda into my dad's garage to plug it into a Diagnostic fault code reader - The information shown was "If EML is active - Check ECU"... I'm not to sure where the ECU is located in the car or what this means.

 

Previous fault code on the car was PO234 - Which I changed the Boost sensor on the car but that made no change.

 

I have previously posted about this issue but any advice would be greatly appreciated

Unsure how to complete a boost test hmmmmmm as it probly is a boost leak!

Why do you think it has a boost leak? Have you had it in bits recently?

Worth checking the fuel pipes around the tandem pump. Has a fair few collapse or kink over starving the pump of fuel.

I haven't had it in bits yet! But to see it if's something to do with the pipes! I will defo take a look at that, cheers!
