Selling a phone

Featured Replies

Where's the best place to sell a mobile phone? Took a iPhone 4 ino cex today but they wouldn't take it because the home button was a bit dodgy (which surprises me as it works, but once ever so often it needs pressing twice).

Which net work are you on? some providers do a buy back or recycling service.

I sent my Blackbury's back to Orange and received  good pay out

you could put a post on here giving all the details of the phone and then ask where the best place to sell it is......

Or you could join FREEDOM and then you can write a proper advert ;)

I was trying not to give to much info to make it sould like a cheap for sale thread. But it is unlocked and 02 who I was with would only offer £100 which I thought was a bit cheap

Why are you trying to sell it to a network lol

throw it on eBay and Gumtree, it will be gone within a week

I could do with it gone by next weekend when i go on holiday, and I have reservations about ebay as I've come across some tools on it. I was trying to find a shop I can walk into and get cash over the desk.

Try Pre Loved its free and you can deal with potential buyers direct if the price is right you will mve it quick, if not you wont simples.

Gumtree or one if those for sale groups on Facebook are decent, local buyers, can meet in person and pay cash

Kool, just tried it, see how I get on. Thanks

You can list for free on ebay until midnight today. Just set as a 3 or 5 day auction

Envirophone, will give £107

Mazuma will give £105

£100 is not that bad, and about what I sold my old one (t-mobile, 16gb) for in the end.

The days of an iPhone retaining £300 of value are very over.

There are so many for sale at any one time.

Enviro will only give me £87 as its only a 8gb. Plus they don't ask about network and considering mines unlocked I thought it may be worth slightly more than a locked one.

Fleabay but be very clear about it's failings or you'll find it coming back to you.

Buyers are stupid and Ebay supports their stupidity.

I've found by the time I pay ebay fees and mucked about arranging postage etc I might as well sell it on mazuma.

I would say mazuma/envirofone etc.

As said above, once youve done faffing with ebay fees there really isnt much in it.

TBH id never bother selling a phone privately again for the aggro of scammers on ebay etc

I just sold my old phone on 02 recycle website, i got £29 which is £10 more than anyone else.

eBay should get you £150
