I know, it's concerning. Quite possible a problem with the Turbo then?

 

Unfortunately I've only had the car since about February this year and love it, so really don't want to get rid of it

 

TBh I've no idea. I just know that personally when a car starts to cost more in repairs than it's worth then it's time to jump ship.

 

Depending on the cost it'll probably worth getting the investigation done just in case it's a simple seal or other minor fix.

Try 10w40 oil (505 spec) instead of the long life 507 stuff, and get it from TPS at about £23 for 5L, saves a fortune over Halfrauds prices.

 

Had any issues running 505 spec with the TFSI rather than 504/507?
