Okay I've got a remap and lowered and I've heard of the brake upgrade 311mm, but will uprated pads actually make a difference in stopping distance?

 

I have midrange falken 914 tyres.

I find very little difference between stock 288's and 312's. the caliper is the same (well on mine it is) its only the disc size thats different

Best mod i did was ATE racing blue dot 4! New fluid makes one hell of a difference to the bite

For pads id try mintex 1144's! They are bloomin' awesome and cheaper than ferodo ds2500

I personally didn't notice a massive difference over stock brakes initially, but once I put half decent pads on they were better. For the cash they are a good worthwhile mod, even if it just helps against brake fade. Plus they look better than the weedy 288's

Yup as standard had the same setup as the fabia vrs

So changed fronts to 312's! Slightly easier on the leon as only the caliper carriers need changing. On the fabia you need the caliper and carrier

I've got 312mm front and 256mm rears, love them! I did a full brake fluid change at the same time and get a really good bits on them also.

I'm running pagid discs and pads all round and standard dot 4 brake fluid.
