Skids fabia

Featured Replies

How nippy is the skoda fabia elegance 1.9 tdi compared to say. 1.2 Peugeot 206 petrol or something like that :)

I take it your mate has a 206 and you want to 'thrash him'? I'm pritty sure the 206's are something like 60-70bhp and the fabia being 100bhp. Obviously with the help of the turbo you would have a chance if you don't stall and make a right clown of yourself.

No I'm just wondering its general acceleration as I know diesels can be slow acceleration?

Diesels can be fast to accelerate, maybe not always from '0' but maybe from 5-10mph, its all that torque.

So there are so many variables, driver, traction, so tyres etc.

Then is it 0-62mph that matters, or is it maybe 30-70+ which is more important.

Maybe best to go try a few different cars and see how you like yours to drive, revvy or torquey.

Thirsty or less thirsty.
