Can anyone tell me what seats I can put in my 2006 vrs? I had a phone charger explode in my car and its burnt my seats (looks like thousands of tiny fag burns) and I was just seeing what my options were (: was thinking of the golf gti but not sure what the rears fit like? Any info on any would help cheers

Anything from a Fabia, Polo 9N/9N3 or Ibiza 6L will fit straight in.

 

Golf seats can be made to fit, but with work changing subframes.

Anything that uses the same floor pan will have the same seat runners so will bolt straight in and pretty

So any other Fabia - mk1 or mk2, a mk4 or 5 Ibiza, Polos 9n onwards

 

However given your orignial seats aren't gunna really be saleable if they have loads of burns on them you'd be better off ripping apart a set of seats from something else - Golf? Leon? A3/S3? Octavia half leather? - and (as softscoop says) swapping the foam and material and back rest from one subframe to the other.

 

It's a peice of plss to do - a set of Octavia leathers took me about an hour!

Only issue will be that you'll then need to get the large rear back rest "amended" to fit by an upholsterer

just for clarity, rears are mint, fronts are good (with the retrimming etc) ;-)

Do you know why the battery exploded? Were it heat? Interested to know what battery it were just incase I have the same!
