MicrosoftHUP, is it legit?

Featured Replies

Office for 9 quid seems too good to be true.

What's the catch?

It was legit when I had it for Office 2003 - I had to sign some paperwork at work and was then issued a disc, all fine and above board.

Some info here:

We got Office through a deal with SWMBO being a teacher. Certainly sounds like the HUD deal. We got two Office Pro licenses for £6 at that time.

It was a download only.

Yep got it for mine through work for £8 , no catch

Home use program is genuine, nothing to fear from it providing you meet the criteria. You would be surprised at what you can get for peanuts from Microsoft, especially if you meet the criteria for Education or Charity status.

Perfectly legal, and all above board. Your employer signs up for it as part of their agreement with Microsoft.

Yep, all good. I've had Office 2013 this year out of it! I paid more to have the disc, think it was £18 or something like that....

That's the offer, £9 +£9 extra if you want it physical.

Would have been less concerned if the URL had been an obvious MS one like Microsoft.com/hup than Microsofthup.com
