MkIII Octavia vRS performance

Featured Replies

Or as topgear proved, a Focus ST is faster than both of those around a track thanks to faster cornering speeds.

If you really want a hot hatch it has to be an Audi S3, RS3 or Focus RS anything else is just warm.

All out speed has nothing to do with being a hot hatch.

The term quicker is more relevant than faster.

0-60 in 7 seconds is fairly tame compared to supercars, specialist acceleration vehicles ie caterhams etc and of course motorcylces where a cheapish bike like the ZZR1400 can do 0-60 in about 2.6 seconds and 170 in less than 15 seconds.

Ford, looses value quicker than it accelerates.

Euroboxes like the Audi 3 and Gold are just so slly mone for what they are.

Skoda very good value, new petrol VRS will be very good.  Because the pound is so weak against the Euro there is very limited choice for a quickish but reasonably value car.  Any other suggestions to the etrol VRSs for a new car as I am struggling to find anything to compare?
