grille by windscreen damaged by dealer?

Featured Replies

octavia 2005

hi i had a clicking noise from behind the dash got it fixed quite a while ago by the dealer and the promlem was solved.

however the temperature sensor square thingy in the middle of the dask by the windscreen has lately started popping up and never really seems secure (it doesnt click into position)

probably becuase ive got access to an octavia works car ive compared my car to my works car. In the works car this sensor is fixed solid. In my car the grille either side of the sensore is slightly deformed.

could they have damaged the sensor housing and grille when fixing the clicking (because it was easier to go through this part of the dash than remove dash completely)?

could i have any comeback or has it taken my too long to report it (over 12 months).

if i wanted a new grille and needed the dash removing am i looking at £150 plus?

thanks for replies
