Wheel emblems and tailgate badge.

Featured Replies

Hi all.

Very happy to be a Yeti 140 owner, as I washing the car I noticed that the wheel emblems had started pitting of the outer edge taking place, looked on all 4 wheels and same thing there, also on the rear Tailgate badge. my Yeti is only 18 months old with 5k on the clock, and hosed down after a trip in the snow this year to keep the salt at bay.

So off I went to my lovely Skoda garage in Telford. when I got there I looked around and had a look at the cars on the sales forecourt, some cars 6 months old and some 3 years old, same thing was happening to the emblems on them.

So the car is going in on Thursday to get them changed, so it would seem that Skoda know of the problem. I have been in the trade for a long time and the emblems on cars will start to deteriorate some do some don't, but nothing like this.

A very silly point to make I know but after a great build up of the Skoda brand over the years, I would not like to see a little thing like this letting  Skoda down, after all people do look at badges.

I do hope Skoda are on to this and improve the material used.

Hi and welcome aboard.

Welcome

You should see the badges on my octavia 2, bonnet, tailgate and all four wheels are in a terrible state, have been for some time now!

I was thinking of seeing if I could replace them with the new skoda badges but I haven't bothered to yet.

P.S. - Hi
