Hi just been given this oil by skoda/renault dealership. Am I alright to use this oil to top up my car?

Ive checked online and it states that it doesn't conform to vw spec however they checked with my registration and said its ok..

The make of the oil is elf solaris fe 5w30. Designed for vehicles with DPF.

The oil I found online to be suitable with vw spec is elf solaris LLX which is VOLKSWAGEN: VW 504.00/507.00. Backward compatibility with : VW 502.00/505.00/505.01

Tbh I thought they would have given me quantum platinum. And ive just paid £11 for a litre of this to top my car up so if its not right will need to take it back.

I dont want to chance using as I heard your only meant to use a specified pd oil on these engines?

It needs to be 505.01 or 507.00 spec. If it isn't, I wouldn't touch it.

Yeah exactly what I thought..! Pretty annoyed as my girlfriend ordered it whilst I was at work so I could collect at 6pm.

You'd of thought they know what oil is right for the car even the salesmen there didnt have a clue..!

Gonna get the quantum platinum and get them to give me discount for screwing the order as could it damage thw engine if incorrect oil is used?
