I am the first person to put in this interior. Mk3 vw scirocco gt vienna truffle leather seats and everything to leathered to match. I got the box and smashed it to bits lol I wanted to do something that nobody would doo. The results are amazing.

If it were black or maybe red or something it would look gorgeous. Fair play for doing it just not a fan of brown but think something like that is always going to be marmite. Bet it cost a few quid

Seat surgeons in York by far the best I've seen unless you swap out interiors from other cars.

the reason I did not go down the seat surgeons route is because it ain't real leather nor does it smell of leather. They are brought in from China or where ever they get them from. You spend all that money for that.

My hind was hand picked and was the smellest one too. Everytime you get in the car you can smell it. Some people can vote for that on here. I know it ain't going to be to everyone's cup of tea, but I love it and the seats are so comfort and more supportive plus being fully electric with lumber support.

Having had two cars retrimmed by Seat Surgeons in York I can confirm that it is real leather and it smells like real leather too. The owner of that company owns the factory in China which produces the custom made kits for retrimming. The standard leather is sourced in China but if you opt for Nappa leather then that comes from the same source in Scotland that Aston Martin use.

How much did it all come to?

My seats aren't new, I fitted them yesterday and when the Mrs got in she commented that she could smell the leather. I got in the morning and could smell them too so don't agree with that comment. Also feels like nice leather too, I've had recaro leathers before and unnamed leather seats and this feels a more quality leather imo

So you bought the interior brand new? Not from a written off scirocco, not even out of a scirocco? Literally out of the warehouse in to your car?

Pleather FTW

Anyways leather seats are horrible

Roasting in summer and stone cold in winter

You need to let luxury car manufacturers know that so that they can consider using cloth instead.

Id rather have cloth

I don't get leather?

Yeah wipe clean is handy when dogging i guess but everything else is a negative

Marks easy

Wears through easy

Sticky in summer months with the heat, ice cold in winter

Just a really stupid idea
