When is a timing belt due to be changed?

60 or 80K Miles. I don't think VAG UK ever made their minds up! What mileage are you on now?

Just had a look, 80K miles or four years for the Pumpe Duse engines :)

60k or 4 years I think

Leaseplan claim 140K miles, so my Yeti will never get it changed whilst I have it for three years.

I heard 60k or 4 years.

Will change it at 60k to be sure

Depends on the car

always better to err on the side of caution DH, mine was done at 58K and 107K

Is it a timing belt or chain? It's an 09 Skoda Fabia :)

Timing belt, Lou_Lou. If you're getting it done, get the water pump done at the same time as it can be accessed while the belt's off.

Looks at Leaseplan 2nd hand car.

Runs away...

I would say 4years or 60k. miles on any car with a rubber belt. Always err on the side of caution.
