Sorry - Thule bar help

Featured Replies

I'm putting my roof rails on to my octavia estate, I've had them on a Renault estate in the past but I can't remember if they sat the same as these.

I'm using the 755 foot pack which I'm pretty sure is correct for the car but when I tighten the clamps I'm left with this gap on the inside of the clamps .... Is this right or am I missing something??

You don't tell us which year your Octavia is but I think all of them use the same roof rails.

Anyways, the Thule catalogue recommends the 757 foot pack for the 2004-2013 Octavia Estate. If I recall correctly, the 755 was taken out of production and replaced with the 757 a couple of years ago so technically, 755 should fit your car since the 757 does.

I'm not 100% sure that it was the 755 kit that was discontinued, but I can't find it at the Finnish Thule supplier anymore so my memory probably serves me right.

Yes agree - 755 has been replaced with 757 so I know they should fit. It's a 56 plate estate. The rails are kind of wedge shaped on the inside and I can't seem to get the inside clamp to meet flush with them

As long as it's a secure fit, I wouldn't worry about it not being flush. I've installed countless roof rack sets at work over the years. Thule is by far my favourite for fit, finish and ease of use btw.

Don't look like the best fit to me!
