Used to see those Nissans around quite often, can't recall seeing one for ages though!

Quick progress with the Fabia!

sad to say they were a bit of a rot box, back sills and rear turrets being the big killer, my wife had the white one, 1.6 twin choke carb on it, great fun but not very economical, and my red one the ECU died so it got broken and scrapped, sad times.. that said the '92 nissan had far less rust issues than the '03 mazda, hoping the Skoda will fare up a bit better against rusty bits

The skodas tend to be fairly good with rust, some people have some issues etc bit like any car!

I love the old Nissans, my uncles not long sold a 240Z. My favourite is the 300ZX though!

time to make this rather silver on silver car a little more interesting, managed to get hold of a couple of spray cans of "pantone 348" same colour as the brake calipers, and started painting things up hehe

so thats the top of the air box, battery top and side covers and engine top cover, which to be fair looks like a giant alien spaceship under the bonnet to begin with, leaving the engine cover centre plate black and going to put a more interesting badge in the middle, or at least one you can read without being 3" away

sorry about the quality of pics, phone camera & LED lighting in the back living room, not the ideal combination

Looking good Pete,

Word of warning (don't know if you did this but) when I first did mine I didn't use etched primer on them before the colour coat, and after about  7 or 8 months it started to flake off at the edges - ended up redoing them using the etched primer and there have been no problems since.

I used plastic primer, after a damn good clean and de-grease, have used it previously on the mazzy and it worked alright
