Source for low cost Dunlop Sport 01 tyres

Featured Replies

Just changed to a pair of Dunlop SP Sport 01 (225/50/17 94W) on front of Yeti at 26500 miles.

Tried Kwik-fit and ATS Euromaster as nearby local sources (on-line prices) namely £152.90 and £155.95 respectively fully fitted. Around £175 if you just drive in.

Had a while ago tried Blackcircles and E- Tyres at around £145 + fitting cost £10-12 at not so near independent garage.

Tried Bathwick Tyres (on-line at 'www.bathwicktyres.co.uk') but unable to get price online.

They have depots mainly in South/South West but on a phone call able to supply and fully fit for

£139.50 each (Had 3 in stock but told could take 1 day to get as not a big demand).

Maybe of interest if you think a good price. I have no personal interest/connection with this company but

have dealt with them in the past and had excellent service.

Hope this posting doesn't breach forum rules. Delete if it does.

I just checked etyres (who I usually use) and it's £147.60 each including fitting. Plus they come to you so less time wasted.

Even if they were a few pounds more I'd still use them because they've always been reliable and it's so little hassle.

A guy I worked with laughed at me for this attitude, then tried to lord it over me by saving £6 per tyre compared to etyres. He didn't understand that the two hours he spent searching and ringing 'roundf, and the hour spent getting them fitted (including driving there and back) more than wiped out that saving...

Blackcircles now £178 wasn't that a month or so ago. The issue I have with this 'we supply the tyre and direct you to an independent garage to fit it outfit' is who takes ownership of any problems (damaged alloys for example)??

When I queried it the answer was a bit re-assuring (We'll sort it) but still vague enough for me to look elsewhere.

FWIW I've used Blackcircles twice, no problems. Second time, I was away, had a tyre disintegrate (pre-Yeti); BC sent new pair to local place, fitted within 36 hrs, cheaper than first pair!

Oponeo have them at £117 delivered at present, if you have a local fitter that will fit them.

Forgot to mention Dunlop have a £20 Tesco Fuel Card offer until SEPT if you purchase 2 tyres

W Rating and above, £40 if 4 purchased.

Application card picked up a tyre depot, not sure if available on line. You only need to fill in form and send copy of receipt detailing tyre spec bought and get dealer to stamp card (not sure if mandatory).
