I have the Columbus Sat Nav. Having used a Garmin before when towing or driving larger vehicles I was able to select settings that prevented the system from using single track roads etc.

 

I have checked settings in the columbus and the manual but cant find anything similar. Having just returned from a week in North Cornwall with a teenage daughter who cant read a map and a caravan it would be useful! 

 

Any ideas?

Use the Garmin as the Columbus does not have any features to prevent road types being used (with the exception of toll roads) or to tell it you are towing.

I think its under exclusions, set it to ignore B roads
