New member with a cruise control curse.

Featured Replies

Just bought my first Skoda, an Octavia VRS Estate. I'm well pleased with it and now realise what I've been missing having been driving a dull Volvo V40 diesel for the past two years!!. I have been served well by my local dealer but have experienced a problem with the cruise control in that it don't work!. The dealer can't find fault in the system and it goes back on Wednesday for a full diagnostic check, but was hoping if any of you had encountered a similar problem and have the cure?. Look forward to hearing from anyone who has the same passion as I do for Skoda VRS's.

No problems on my vRS Estate with Cruise, especially at **mph (*cough*) on the M6 toll.....

The cruise system is quite simple and problems are usually quite easy to diagnose.

With diagnostic equipment its quite easy to determine what part of the system isnt working, i.e the stalk switch or a brake light switch for example.

Furby vRS here - cruise working beautifully. Imagining the Octy cruise will behave the same (wiring probably different and all that, but still).

Guessing the cruise just doesnt engage?

Perhaps ' Big K' has any ideas?

Oh look, it's one of those classic noobs, who dive straight into the problem they're having, rather than using this section properly and then posting properly in the correct section :D
