Hi all. I have a standard 2002 vrs, clutch is slipping. As short of cash and the flywheel is fine can I use a valeo clutch kit or do I have to use LUK as I believe these are standard fit??? I will be doing G60/vr6 conversion when have the funding....

hi when you say valeo you mean a after marked non genuine kit made by valleo if thats the case as long as its a direct replacement for the same clutch fitted in your car it doesnt matter who makes it eg sachs or luk make the clutch kits for vw group but valleo make after market clutches to the same spec as either the sachs or luk fitted in your vehicle you wouldnt be able to fit a luk type clutch to a sachs flywheel or vise versa but a valleo replacement clutch made to say luk spec would fit a luk flywheel and a valleo clutch made to sachs spec will fit a sachs flywheel hope this helps

Thanks for the speedy response. The kit im looking at is luk spec, im only getting valeo because I can't find anywhere with luk kit in stock, the kit is £111 from ecp. But its needed as taking the car on holiday in a couple of weeks....
