Fabia Hatch Roof Rails

Featured Replies

I've just bought a new bike and my preferred carrying location is the roof, since it only just fits inside the car and even then I have to recline the front seat forwards.

Does anyone make roof rails for the Fabia Hatch? I already know Skoda only makes them for the estate and the estate has different mounting points so they don't fit the hatch. I'd prefer to have rails and attach some cross bars I already have, rather than just use the usual Skoda roof bars.

Has anyone adapted a Fabia Estate set to fit on a hatch - would it be possible to shorten them? Or would that make the cross bars too close together?

I thought there was a set of Skoda rails for the hatch?

I was kind of hoping this post was in the for sale section, as I'd like a set too. Let me know if you hear of anything. :)

Definitely not - Skoda sell either a "Basic roof rack" for the hatch and saloon - LAT 410 001 at

:( Oh well. I have seen some rails on ebay for the hatch, but not recently. Are the fittings for the rails the same on the hatch as the estate?

The estate ones run the full length of the roof , so unless you want them hanging off at the back........

I may be able to point you in the right direction for the LAT 410 001 kit.

PM me if you want to know more.

I have the Skoda hatch ones they are very good quality, I 've also seen aftermarket ones on ebay for

So the dealer roof bars are about

But as David says hes after roof rails not roof bars.

Never seen a set of rails on a hatch, I'll have a look and see whats available on monday Dave.

You just take the small blanking plugs out on the roof then fit the rack it's good because its feet don't touch the roof itself only the claws grip the holes the plugs came out off, so no marks on the roof. The feet and the bars are seperate, if your current set up is thule they should be compatible with your current cross bars.

AFAIK the genuine Skoda ones are Thule and are lockable.

I've seen one of those in the dealers, really nice wheels - 17's IIRC.
