Sump / bolt / advice

Featured Replies

People, I

I would imagine there is little or no comback on that one im afraid.

Its a common problem as not every garage replaces the sump bung every service as skoda advise and most of the time the bung is overtightened stretching the delicate aluminium thread.

Someone had a similar problem with a Furby sump recently - http://www.briskoda.net/forums/showthread.php?t=30245.

They managed to get the sump thread helicoiled - a lot cheaper than a whole new sump. It might be worth exploring this option first.
