I just had a Oil Indicator come up on the dash. Not as a warning light, but in the area where the millage is recorded. I check my oil recently and it looked ok, However I topped up a lil bit today just on the safe side as it has been very warm recently.

 

I did have the car serviced and an independent garage, is this a service light for an oil change or was it because of the oil level?

 

I do have a diagnostic tool, but wanted to check on here first.

This indicator is to advise you that it's due an oil service. Can be re-set simply.... with the igniition off, press & hold the black sticky out button on the speedo and turn the iginition on and should vanish
