The brake light switch

Featured Replies

Noticed today i have to apply a fair amount of pressure on the brake pedal before the stop lights come on. Also with cruise turned on i have to apply fair amount of pressure to knock it off, at 50mph i was able to slow the car to 40mph without cruise knocking off soon as i took my foot off the brake the car accelerated back to 50mph which it shouldnt do?

The brake lights do work but only after a fair amount of pressure been applied

New switch needed, it's only about a tenner from TPS or VAG dealer.

Easy to fit, but has to be done correctly. Post when you're ready to do it & we'll guide you through the process.
