Ap Coilovers worn out

Featured Replies

I purchased and fitted a brand new set of ap coilovers about 6 months ago and they have covered 10000 miles since and they have completely worn out. I removed them because they were clunking at low speeds and squeeking over speed bumps. Inspecting them after removal I noticed that the actual shock absorber shaft (if you know what I mean) has worn at the point where it has been sitting inside the strut. This small amount of wear is obviously allowing it to move inside the strut causing the clunking. Has anyone ever seen anything like this before and does anyone know if a new shaft can be purchased for them. I would much rather rebuild them myself than wait the 6-8 weeks the warrenty may take to go through

Can you take picture to explain?

Sounds like the same problem people have with JOM's

Time for air ride!

10000k in 6 months? Woah.

They come with a 12 month warranty don't they?

Had mine 6 months and they are perfect.
